Biography - Joe Preston, MP

Joe Preston is proud to be an active member of the community.

Joe has served the riding of Elgin-Middlesex-London as the Member of Parliament since 2004 and was re-elected in 2006 & 2008.

Joe is the Chair of the South West Ontario Caucus. His Parliamentary Committee work includes Chair of the Procedure and House Affairs Committee; Chair of the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs; and Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee.  Joe is the Vice-Chair of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and Member of the NATO Parliamentary Association.

Joe and his wife Geri are franchisees of Wendy’s Restaurants and Boston Pizza.  Joe’s past community involvement includes Chair of The Elgin-St. Thomas United Way Campaign, Chair of the St. Thomas Downtown Development Board, Chair of the St. Thomas and District Chamber of Commerce and director for Communities in Bloom.  Joe continues to be active in the community including live theatre.
