Municipal Leaders- Pre-Budget Consultation

Representatives from the Municipalities of Elgin-Middlesex-London met with Joe Preston, MP for the municipal leader’s pre-budget consultation meeting in St. Thomas on Wednesday.

John Regan, General Manager of the Elgin Business Resource Centre and Councillor in Thames Centre praised the involvement of community partners and the flow of funding. “Most municipalities were able to reap the benefits and were able to do projects that without the federal and provincial support; they would never be able to.”

At the end of the meeting, Preston was very pleased with the results and suggestions made. “This spirit of cooperation is what really helped us be able to get through the global economic downturn.”
