The Preston Post Issue 11
December 23, 2009

As the Member of Parliament, I have had the chance to see first hand the challenges that many individuals and families in our community have faced in 2009.  At the three levels of government, we have faced these challenges together with federal, provincial and municipal counterparts coming together in an unprecedented show of unity with the well being of our communities as our ultimate goal.
I hope that you have found the Preston Post a useful resource.  It allows me to communicate local and federal initiatives keeping constituents informed.
This is the final issue for 2009 filled with 3 weeks of exciting events and announcements.
Enjoy and thank you for reading!

Citizen Recognition
Throughout 2009, I have had the privilege to work with 2 outstanding county Wardens. Warden Graham Warwick represented the County of Elgin, while Warden Jim Maudsley represented the County of Middlesex.  2009 has been an amazing year with programs such as Building Canada, Infrastructure Stimulus Funding and the RInC.  Throughout this challenging year,  Graham and Jim showed leadership, determination and dedication and we were able to bring outstanding announcements to this region. Thank you for you solid co-operation.
My best wishes to the 2010 wardens, Warden Bonnie Vowel from the County of Elgin, and Warden Joanne Vanderheyden from the County of Middlesex.
