I wish to compliment the Times-Journal and Kyle Rea for the excellent write-up regarding the presentation by the International Fund for Animal Welfare of the Community Action Animal Hero Award to Bonnie Smith.

Bonnie was also recognized with certificates of congratulations from Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, Elgin-Middlesex-London MP Joe Preston, EML MPP Steven Peters, as well as the City of St. Thomas for her selfless dedication to helping sick and homeless animals.

No one is more deserving of these awards.

The awards dinner on March 14 was a memorable occasion where Bonnie expressed her appreciation to all who helped her to achieve this recognition.
