Joe Preston, Member of Parliament and Steve Peters, Member of Provincial Parliament came together Friday in honour of the completion of a number of projects funded through the Canada- Ontario Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund.
 
The event celebrated the completion of a number of infrastructure projects including:
 
* Sunset Road Bridge~ $6,993,350
* Replacement of New Sarum Bridge~ $1,507,000
* Elgin County Pioneer Museum~ $400,475
* Vienna South Bridge~ 1,019,523
 
“I am pleased to say that the Government of Canada has contributed more than $3.2 million to four priority projects in the County of Elgin” said Preston.
 
The event demonstrated the Government of Canada’s commitment to improving Canada’s infrastructure and the cooperation between the different levels of government.
