Chair of Rural Caucus

Joe Preston, Member of Parliament was elected chairman of the Rural Caucus of the Conservative Party of Canada. The Rural Caucus brings together members representing rural ridings from across Canada to discuss issues effecting rural Canadians.

“As our urban centres continue to grow, it becomes vitally important that the rural areas of Canada have a strong voice within our government,” said Preston. “Representing a mostly rural riding allows me to understand the values of rural Canadians.”

Preston’s other roles include the Chair of the Procedure and House Affairs Committee. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in Canada and Internationally.
