Port Stanley Festival Theatre - The Shovel Tree Coming Soon
April 08, 2010

The Shovel Tree comes to the Port Stanley Festival Theatre! The 2010 version of the annual community board fundraising play hits the boards for a limited engagement of five performances commencing on Friday April 30th at 8:00 p.m.

Subsequent performances will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday May 1st, Friday May 7th, and Saturday May 8th, with a matinee performance on Saturday May 8th at 2:00 p/m.

Starring "people you know playing characters you can only imagine", The Shovel Tree is an original Port Stanley comedy about creative dance, mooning the fishing fleet, the buying of trees, and the nature of community.

Come and watch Joe Preston leap tall buildings with a single bound, Mark Brown and Jim Lockhart dance separately but at the same time, Richard Haddow trying to sell the lift bridge, and a trio of gossips weave a tangled web of poisonous implausibility.
